Westbury School

Westbury School has worked alongside SMV Solutions since September 2004.  During the first year of our work in partnership, the school was subject to an Ofsted inspection and the judgement around the school’s performance in ICT was judged to be satisfactory.  The company worked alongside the Headteacher in order to determine an action plan to bring the school out of ‘Satisfactory’ in respect of ICT and further towards ‘Outstanding’.  In order for this to be achieved, work was done to evaluate the existing infrastructure within the school, to evaluate the existing software resources available for teaching and learning and also to examine ways in which the school could improve its strategic recording of pupil’s performance using mechanisms within ICT.  As this work began, the school decided to do a separate evaluation using the BECTA self-review mechanism and confirmed following that process that progress within the school with ICT was only satisfactory - John Dyson - Head teacher - Westbury School

Cantrell School

At Cantrell we had a projector and interactive whiteboard in most classrooms, which was great but we had no technician in school who was able to look after them properly so every time something went wrong we were stuck.  I spoke to Steljes about a laptop to whiteboard cable and they recommended  SMV Solutions Ltd who quickly organised the cable and when I requested more offered to come in and look at the whiteboards to find the problem.

We have since had whiteboards and projectors installed into the rest of our rooms by SMV Solutions Ltd who are both competitive and efficient.  We have also set up a contract for SMVSolutions Ltd to service our projectors and whiteboards via their new "Healthcheck" service at least once a year to ensure that any problems do not build up as they have in the past.
